Bielle, Rhum Rhum Liberation 2012

The Rhum Rhum Libération 2012 is a unique and well-crafted rum produced at the Bielle Distillery in Marie Galante, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Velier. Distilled in 2007 from sugar cane juice using a pot still and aged for 5 years, it boasts an ABV of 45%. The tasting notes reveal a delightful mix of caramel, nutty, and fruity aromas on the nose, with woody, nougat, cherry, spice, and a hint of bitterness on the palate. Users praise its well-integrated alcohol content, alluring finish, and beautiful length, making it a highly desirable and enjoyable rum experience.

PMG is the brainchild of Italian master grappa-distiller, Vittorio Capovilla. An agricole rum, it is produced on a bespoke Bain-Marie pot still specially designed by Capovilla and built and installed at Bielle distillery in Guadeloupe by Andreas Muller. The rum is bottled and distributed by legendary Italian company, Velier, who’s CEO, Luca Gargano, assisted in selecting Bielle as the ideal location for the home of the Rhum Rhum brand.

Aged in Sauternes sweet wine casks, this rum was “liberated” from cask in 2012.
